Has it been 1 year since November 2023? I made a solo trip to Riverside to walk down the memory lane. I made a trip to San Diego and Orange County with an unrealistic hope of being able to look for the Lost Symphony.
Riverside is like our second home because home is where Love resides.
As a promise to myself, I visited Lift Coffee, Canyon Crest Plaza, Mount Rubidoux, the familiar short ride of our usual grocery run to Good Win market, Downtown Riverside, and of course Highlander North Campus Apartment. On November 26 2022, the day after Thanksgiving, you and I went up to mount Rubidoux. 2 years later, I went back to where we once stood. Under a rock hereby, I placed a photo frame of us, with Zoey and Ruby. I carefully frame the photo within glass and sealed it off. I hope the photo frame will stay as long as it is allowed to.
Claremont and Pomona - WYWH coffee and the lone walk through Claremont college were perhaps the in-between places of the Past vs. the Future.
On November 2024, for somer reasons, I was able to reach the same place where I was in November 2023 – Perhaps, that was our very last trip of peace and laughters. I remembered you abandoned me in that Chinese restaurant in 2023 so that you could meet up with Jessie. I also remembered how much pain and shame you were going through. And, of course, I remembered my own pain and hopelessness. A year later, 2024, I am back here to walk down the memory lanes of ours. Those are the memories of the Past and memories of the Future.
