Our first cat was Peach. She came to us out of the blue. Eventually we made friend with her previous owner, Rachel. It was as an act of God. Peach arrived and brought forth some orders amidst the chaos in our souls at the time, early 2021.
She would then follow us to the 9-month journey in Riverside. I would peak into the littler windows to see her looking at me, especially at 4:00 pm on every Monday. She would then follow us to Big Bear, Mendocino and finally arrive at River Oaks.
I remember Rule 12: Pet a cat when you see one, by Jordan Peterson. It is the antidote to chaos.
Our world was chaos, internally. I was struggling for find order. I was struggling to find the things that we should be grateful for, or ought to be grateful for. We have been blessed by the Creator, our jobs, our lives, our places, our health. What else could we have asked for?
Peach was always quiet and vocal at the same time. Always calm.
Butter was innocent and enjoying every toys being thrown at him.
Mochi simply appreciated all the moments of her life.
I walked around Downtown San Jose near 709 S 22nd street, a marker in our chapters. On a slow Friday, after the morning lecture, I strolled around the hills in Hayward.
I don’t know how to feel nor what to feel anymore. Chaos have taken over my emotions and I’ve been looking for orders.
