I came by South Shore to take care of Peach and Butter. Mochi is enjoying her single life in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania. Peach was our very first cat and she came to our life in April 2021, shy of 1 week after I started at Apple Inc. She went through Sunnyvale, Riverside, Big Bear, Joshua Tree, and then River Oaks Apartment.
In September 2022, Butter came into our live. Mochi joined in Jan 2023. In October 2023, we moved to The Verdant. A year later, our journey split between the Verdant and South Shore Apartments, Alameda.

Here are three of them enjoying the first night at South Shore on Dec 8 2024.
In one of my dreams, I saw three of them ran way in joy as if they were teasing us or teasing me “Daddy! I’m going to have fun with the neighbor cats!”. I saw myself flying over them and I was trying to huddle them back into the house.
Why such dream?
Perhaps, for me, the cats are the only testimonies of the true joy and happiness and laughter I had through out the journey of us.
Why do I suddenly time travel to the emotions of Dec 2024?
Maybe, I have not yet processed the pain, the nostalgia, the sense of loss. The latter is tremendous. It is the loss of potential future, potential relationship, and perhaps the loss of self, my self.
But no, I do not regret! I have loved you with all my heart and minds. I knew the pains you have always carried within. And so, I made up my thoughts to co-travel with you.
If anything is regarded as closure, I would love to see you find peace.
